fairfax county liegt im äußersten nordosten von virginia, grenzt im nordosten und südosten an maryland und hat eine fläche von 1053 quadratkilometern, wovon 30 quadratkilometer wasserfläche sind. Es umschließt arlington county und die stadt alexandria im osten und grenzt damit an die engeren bezirke der metropolregion washington d. C. Die grenze mit maryland wird durch den potomac river gebildet.

pick up your sample kit at the fairfax county extension office, located in the pennino human services buiding. Collect samples the morning of september 14 and drop off at the extension office. Samples are analyzed at virginia tech. Receive your confidential results, an explanation of what they mean, and information about addressing problems via email about 4 weeks later.
